Hi,
HAHAHAHA on Mom and Sarah to think that their silly attempts can keep me crated. I will persevere! I am the amazing Raya Sunshine Houdini. Today I was found running around Deaver Park Circle. I not only had escaped the crate, but the house, and the yard. I rock! I really think that my career as a escape artist is shaping up nicely. So Moms and Neighbors have rewired my crate and secured it yet again. Do they not realize that this just makes it more fun for me? I hope that I will put me under water or something a bit more exciting than just wire, really I can escape from more. I chew through metal wire with my bare teeth. Oh, I just really wish that Moms never had to leave me. Why do they leave I am just that cute and sweet and look at my waggy tail! I hope my Mom's remember "Puppy love is the beginning of a lifetime affair for most dog owners" and that I will grow up to be a good dog someday!

Raya

I really am not a fan of crates
Hi
I was sitting around my crate trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up and today I practiced being a magician/escape artist. Houdini was so cool and I wanted to see if I had what it takes. Mom acted really surprised today when I escaped my crate, especially the 1st time, but the 2nd time was funny too. I don't understand why she is surprised I am the Great Raya or maybe Rayanati.
She says she is nervous because I have chewed a few blankets, towels, a pair of shorts, baseboard, 2 leashes, and messed up my collar while escaping in the last few days. Moms has made a few attempts to keep me from making chewies out of their house. They then sprayed this icky stuff so I won't chew on the walls and some items. Boo... So since I have stopped being able to chew I decided today I would see if I could escape. Score 2x in one day. I rock! I don't see their problem, when I did escape today I chewed on nothing around the house.. yet... Oh my mom is so silly. So here I am using a crate with chain and metal clips from me being able to find any place to push out the door. I accept this challenge. Tomorrow is another day.

My first bath!
Hi,
I took my first bath:) look at me. I had so much fun taking a bath. My big sister Lucy hid from bathtime. I have no idea why..... Both Mom's seemed entertained and even the next door neighbor's decided to come and cheer me on... What do you think?

Meet Raya Sunshine
Hi!
I am Raya Sunshine! Raya means "friend" in Israeli and I am a happy, outgoing friendly dog so it kinda fits me. I am a happy, kind, silly, and loving Aussie Cattle Dog Mix with a TON of energy. I just got adopted by new owner and she has plans to eventually train me(and her) to become a animal assisted therapy team. She already is a counselor for children, but would like me to help her out and volunteer around Asheville with her too!!! She thinks that I have what it takes and I know I do. I love people!
I was began being fostered at Brother Wolf Rescue. Mom met me and began fostering me on October 19, 2010 and Mom and Sarah finally officially adopted me on the 22nd. They were very nice to me there, but gosh! I love having my own bed, couch, crate, and kitties to call my very own. I even have a big sister named Lucy who is going to show me the ropes around this place. I have already been a stray twice in my short 10 months so I am really happy to have a safe place to call home. Maybe another time I will tell you my story and how Brother Wolf named me Journey.
So far since I have moved here I have got to go to the parkway with my sister Lucy and her friends, go on walks, play in my backyard, go to a dog park, and pick out some nice stuff at Petsmart. I love going for car rides with Lynn.
I am going to keep this blog as a journal of my growing up and learning how to be a big dog.
Love and Sunshine!
