So Mom finally go around to getting the pictures downloaded and ready for me to tell you about my amazing Thanksgiving journey. I wish I had opposable thumbs and my own computer and it would have been done the day after we got home. Oh well, Mom talks about work and doing stuff, but I say 'yada yada'. I went to Florida and had so much fun on my adventures. I did escape a few times from a patio, a privacy fenced yard, and another fenced yard that keeps in 2 dogs all the time. I think escaping is one of my superhero traits? Mom's have yet to figure out a way to keep me from finding love when they are not around. I just miss her so much I have to go looking for love. The 2nd time I got belly rubs and pats from a nice couple 2 doors down from Mom's friends near Jacksonville. They were so nice to me. But enough about my powers. It was a long car ride down there and I had to help the family out with the driving. I think I do quite well and I was proud no one honked or "gave me the bird" (If it is as yummy as turkey?) Think I need to get my full permit before I take on a stick shift transmission.
just kidding we were in park in a traffic jam
On Thanksgiving, I played with a fun puppy named Winston. He kept enticing me to get muddy like him in his very own mud bath. Mom kept telling me 'No Raya No". I was a good listener and just rolled joyfully in the sand instead. We ran and ran and ran. I also patted a horse, yes I did pat him! Mom held me up and took my paw and patted this horse. I then tried to get him to play with me, but he wasn't interested. Horses are seem so silly. I then spent the afternoon at Grandpas and my Aunt Lissie fed me yummy bits of turkey. YUMYUM! She was so nice and came to the porch and visited me often. Lucy and I just had a good restful kinda day on Thanksgiving.

Saturday was exciting because I got to meet a beautiful girl that played with me, picked me up, and put cool glasses on me. I was so happy that she shared her shades with me. She was so nice to me and fun to joke around with. Kids make me very happy with all their pats and games and when they laugh! Laughter tickles my paws and wags my tail.

SO then I went to a nice house with 2 other dogs. A dog named Sophie looked liked my sister Lucy. It was a freaky at first. We had a great time sniffing, chewing treats, mingling, and watching our parents play silly games until really late at night. I wanted to go to bed, but they were laughing so loud it was disturbing my sleep. It was also good entertainment for us pups. The next morning we picked tangerines, oranges, and grapefruits. I enjoyed watching humans climb trees to "catch" the fruit. Humans my Mom knows are so silly. Mom sat Lucy and I down for a fantastic picture under a tree.

When I did not think I could ever imagine anymore fun, I then got to go to the BEACH. Wowza, it was so cold and watery and loud and sandy. I at first loved it and then wasn't sure, but ended up deciding it really a super experience. It was the most fun when I was off-leash (breaking the law, but it was darkish, cold, and desolate) so I could chase birds, sniff, race Lucy, and run in circles. Sarah went out for a long swim in this ocean place. Brrrrr... I couldn't imagine it, my paws were freezing, but she seemed to have fun. I guess my fur makes me get cold easier. She ran up and down the beach with me, and I just started loving the beach. I hope we go back again soon.
Chillaxin in the sand
All in all my first big road trip was super duper enjoyable. I had quite a few "firsts" but had good journeys. I did well at rest stops, attempted to drive, loved meeting new people, getting scrumptious treats, but with sunglasses, citrus fruits, and beach I think did Florida. I am a full of sunshine so I guess why I enjoyed the Sunshine State! I heard I get to go back in a few weeks for Christmas!
Love and Sunshine,
Raya
